The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults  is intended to fulfill any sacraments or for  those entering the Catholic faith.  RCIA is designated for adults 18 years and over.  The RCIA is an eight-month program, fulfilled by weekly classes and some retreats.  

Also offered here at St. Gertrude the Great is a similar program for children who are being initiated into the catholic faith or who have not yet been baptized.  This program is intended for children ages 7 to 17 years of age.

At the conclusion of the class and during the Easter Vigil adults and children will receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation.  Please contact our Religious Education office for more information.
